The steel is Cr8 type cold work die steel designed by the custom, the composition is new designed, there is no trial production experience yet in China at present, and it is equal to the steel Cr8Mo2V2, the content of V reaches to 1.80%. It is part of new type and advanced cold work die steel, its aim is to replace the Cr12 series cold work die steel, reduce the eutectic carbide and increase the high-tough-matching. It mainly applied as precision stamping die, thread die and stretch die, cold forging die, punch and so on. Its main features are high red hardness, high-wearing and good toughness.
